The Science Behind Migra-Health
A multi-nutrient formula developed by a leading team of experts, scientists and physicians designed to help reduce the frequency and duration of head discomfort that puts life on hold.
Migra-Health™ was developed with neurologists and headache experts to target several biological pathways that are overactive in people who live with recurrent head discomfort. Research suggests that these episodes often involve a mix of mitochondrial “energy deficit” in brain cells, increased cortical excitability (nerves firing too easily), release of pain-signaling neuropeptides like CGRP, low-grade neuroinflammation, and, in some people, elevated homocysteine that can stress blood vessels. Migra-Health combines magnesium, riboflavin (B2), methylfolate (B9), methylcobalamin (B12), vitamin D3 and coenzyme Q10 in doses informed by clinical studies on each ingredient.
Magnesium helps calm over-excitable neurons by blocking NMDA receptors and supporting normal ion balance; deficiency has been linked to cortical spreading depression and higher CGRP levels, and supplementation has shown preventive benefits in people with migraine. Riboflavin and CoQ10 are central to mitochondrial energy production—both act as cofactors in the electron transport chain—so providing higher amounts appears to correct the energy shortfall seen in migraine brains and has reduced attack frequency and headache days in randomized trials using high-dose riboflavin (400 mg/day) and CoQ10 (typically 300 mg/day).
Vitamin D3 supports a healthy inflammatory response and may modulate CGRP and glutamate signaling; low vitamin D status has been associated with higher migraine prevalence, and trials using 2,000 IU/day have reported fewer headache days and lower CGRP levels in episodic migraineurs.
Folate and vitamin B12 work together to recycle homocysteine, an amino-acid byproduct that, when elevated, has been linked to migraine (especially migraine with aura) and vascular stress. By supporting normal homocysteine metabolism, these methylated B vitamins help maintain healthy endothelial (blood vessel) function and long-term brain health.
When you take Migra-Health daily, you are steadily supporting mitochondrial energy, calming over-reactive neural circuits, promoting a healthier inflammatory and CGRP profile, and protecting the vasculature that feeds your brain. Together, these mechanisms are designed to support fewer, more manageable head-discomfort days and a brain that can show up more consistently over time.
